Best Beaches near Ambleside

Here is a great beach called Roan Head that I have been to. There are loads of streams about, but be very carful the tide comes in really quickly! It is near Barrow.

Here is Silloth Beach and if you want a nice seaside village this is great. It is north west Cumbria.

Here is Crosby Beach. There are 100 life size iron figures made by Antony Gormley.

Here is one close up. This beach is very sandy. Lots of ships go past on the way to Liverpool.

If you can go further (150 miles) you should go to Bamburgh with its fantastic castle and sandy beach. It is in Northumberland. The castle is brilliant to visit and the town is really good and this is best for your next holiday.
