History of Chess
The history of chess is very complicated as is started as a four player game about 1500 years ago!
To the right are some medieval chess pieces. Theres one of each kind from the set shown in the picture. Chess started in India probably around the year 500AD. It was a four player game, and about 120 years later it gradually became a two player game and had spread into a few more countries in Asia. Then chess spread into loads of different countries evolving as it spread. |  |
